ArtWorks, an Arts Program for Adults with developmental disabilities, is a community outreach program sponsored by the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Arizona. It provides adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to use art media to express their ideas and feelings on a daily basis. Their instructors are usually professional artists who are involved in the Tucson Arts Community.

ArtWorks also provides educational opportunities for university students who are exploring careers in the arts, education, counseling, and medical fields. University student workers, volunteers and interns have the opportunity to partner with the artist-participants and learn, first hand, the value and contribution these people can make to society.

We hope you'll find the time to enjoy this special exhibit.
