The AHS Library is showing a new exhibit entitled “Diseases of Famous Composers or Why They are Decomposing…” The exhibit is located in the glass exhibit case immediately to the left of the Information Desk as you face it from the entrance to the Library.

The exhibit showcases twelve major composers: Bach, Beethoven, Bizet, Brahms, Chopin, Gershwin, Handel, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Ravel, Schumann, and Wagner. Each composer’s profile includes a brief biography, with the major illnesses he suffered during his life, and the cause of death.

The exhibit will run from August 1 to October 17, 2005.
EXTEDED TIME: Due to its popularity - the exhibit will be available until October 31st!

A mini-concert will be performed by Jose Solorzano, pianist, and Cathy Wolfson, soprano, both staff members of the Arizona Health Sciences Library. The mini-concert will be held in AHS Library room 2101, on Wednesday October 12th 2005, from 12:30pm to 1:15pm.

Works performed will be exclusively from composers featured in the “Diseases of Famous Composers” exhibit.
