Healing in the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina |
||
| The Exhibits Committee at the Arizona Health Sciences Library proudly announces a new exhibit, Healing in the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as Seen Through the Eyes of the Arizona DMAT and Their Colleagues Throughout the USA. The exhibit features a collage of photos taken by Kenneth V. Iserson, MD, Professor of Emergency Medicine, and other members of the Arizona Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), as well as by members of other DMATs deployed to Baton Rouge, New Orleans and St. Bernard Parish in Louisiana, and also a very moving video loop created by one of Dr. Iserson’s colleagues, Ernesto Archuleta, MS, EMT-P. We thank Dr. Iserson and his colleagues for their willingness to share this photographic record of their experiences in Louisiana. The Exhibits Committee mounted the photographic collage and accompanying timeline on the wall adjacent to the Java City Coffee Bar and in a nearby exhibit case on the main floor of the Library. We invite you to visit the exhibit, on display through the end of August. |
