Venom Week and the VIPER Institute
An AHSL exhibit celebrating Venom Week 2007

You may have participated in some way last week in Venom Week 2007, during which an estimated 250 professionals in the areas of emergency medicine, medical toxicology, veterinary medicine, nursing, pharmacy, herpetology, arachnology, antivenom manufacturing, and captive collections management attended a week-long conference at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and the Hilton El Conquistador Resort to share and learn the most up-to-date information on venomous animals and on treatment of snakebite, scorpion sting, and spider bite.

An adjunct presentation to Venom Week 2007 is a wonderful exhibit prepared by the University of Arizona Venom Immunochemistry, Pharmacology, and Emergency Response (VIPER) Institute, and located just inside the Arizona Health Sciences Library’s Java City Coffee Bar area.  Be sure to stop at the Library to view this beautiful and educational exhibit, on display through the end of September!
