Direction
to AHSL Tucson from the Tucson International Airport:
From the Airport, travel north on Tucson Boulevard, pass Valencia,
Drexel and Irvington. (Tucson Boulevard becomes Benson Highway at Irvington.) Turn
right (north) at Kino Parkway.
Continue north on Kino Parkway passing Ajo Way, 36th Street, Silverlake,
22nd Street, 15th Street and Broadway. At the Broadway intersection,
Kino Parkway changes to Campbell Avenue. Continue north on Campbell
Avenue, past University Boulevard/3rd Street and Speedway Boulevard.
On Campbell, about two and a half blocks north of Speedway, you will
see the Arizona Health Sciences Center on your left. Turn left
into the Center's entrance and turn left again immediately. On
your right is the entrance to the Patient & Visitor Parking Garage.
Alternatively, metered parking is available in the parking lot on the
corner of Helen and Martin and in the parking lot off of Cherry Avenue
south of Drachman ($1.00/hour; meter takes quarters, dimes and nickel;
there is a 4 hour limit).
To reach the library, enter University Medical Center hospital at its
main entrance. Go past the elevators and turn left (south) into
the hospital’s main corridor. Continue down the corridor
almost to the end. A short hall leading to the library’s entrance
is at the end of the corridor on your right.
Directions to AHSL Tucson from Interstate 10 (I-10):
Note: I-10 is currently being widened and none of the exits
between Prince Road and 29th street are available for use. These
exits are scheduled to remain closed until approximately Spring 2010.
If you are driving south on I-10, you will need to get off at the Prince
Road exit (exit #254). Continue south on the frontage road to Grant
Road and turn left (east) onto Grant.
Travel east on Grant, past Fairview, Oracle, Stone, 4th Avenue, 1st
Avenue, Park Avenue, and Mountain Avenue. At the next major intersection
(Campbell Avenue) turn right and head south on Campbell. Continue until
you pass Elm Street. The Arizona Health Sciences Center is on your
right. Turn right into the Center's entrance and turn left immediately. On your right is the entrance to the Patient & Visitor
Parking Garage. Alternatively, metered parking is available in the parking
lot on the corner of Helen and Martin and in the parking lot off of Cherry
Avenue south of Drachman ($1.00/hour; meter takes quarters, dimes and

If you are driving north on I-10, depending on where
you are coming from, there are two possibilities:
1) If you are approaching from the southeast side of Tucson, take the
Ajo Way North exit (exit #263), proceed straight through the Ajo Way
intersection and turn left on Kino Parkway and continue north on Kino
Parkway passing 36th Street, Silverlake, 22nd Street, 15th Street and
Broadway. At the Broadway intersection, Kino Parkway changes to Campbell
Avenue. Continue north on Campbell Avenue, past University Boulevard/3rd
Street and Speedway Boulevard.

I-19, for example), take the 29th Street exit. Continue north on

Park, Mountain, and Cherry. At the next major intersection (Campbell
Avenue) turn left and head north on Campbell.

Directions for passenger or package pickup or drop off at AHSL
Make your way to the corner of Drachman and Cherry Avenue (see map). Proceed
east on Drachman to the turn around. This is the closest point
by vehicle to the library. No parking is allowed, but quick passenger
or package pickup or drop off is allowed. Be sure to pre-arrange
any package pick up or drop off.
Alternatively metered parking is available in the parking lot just southeast
of the traffic turn around. Enter the parking lot from Cherry Avenue. Meters
are located near the northeast corner of the lot ($1.00/hour; meter takes
quarters, dimes and nickels; there is a 4 hour limit).
