Wired Access at AHSL Tucson

AHSL is moving wired access registration to CCIT starting October 3rd 2006. You will not need to re-register with this service if your computer was registered with AHSL after July 1st 2005.

• For wired (ethernet) access you must register your MAC address with the central CCIT DHCP service

• To locate your MAC address use these instructions
• Faculty/Staff/Students – register at www.dhcp.arizona.edu/register.php - a NetID is required to access this page
• Faculty and Staff who do not possess a valid NetId, should contact your department administrator about registering your MAC address
• Students - register your MAC address via student link

Locating MAC Address

On your computer click Start and then Run.

In the Run window, type Command and then click OK.

A black window will appear. At the cursor prompt, type ipconfig /all and then press enter.

A new screen will appear, listing network information about your computer. Locate the 12-digit number listed as Physical Address is the MAC address. Make sure you have the MAC address of your wired card and not the wireless card.
