Computer Programs Available in the Library Computer Lab
The Library Computer Lab makes available a wide variety of general computer applications including word processing, telnet/e-mail, web browsers and editors, presentation software, spreadsheet and statistical packages, graphics editing programs, scanning applications (text/OCR and image), database software, various utility programs and more.
The Library Computer Lab also supports a variety of computer-assisted instructional programs for a number of classes. While most programs require no additional media, some require a CD-ROM. Required CD-ROM are available at the Loan Desk. To accomodate group viewing, VCR machines and a DVD player (room 2101F) are available in the library's Media Rooms.
The library can assist faculty locate, evaluate and purchase computer-based instructional programs and audiovisuals. See CAI/AV Program Purchase Support for AHSC Faculty.
Library Computer Lab computer programs can be searched by title, by subject, and by keyword. In addition, you can display a listing of the programs available at any given computer workstation. IS staff are available to assist lab users with these applications.
